What is a Pulverizer
There are many definition about ” What is a Pulverizer”. Pulverizer is a machine that reduce particle size for various materials. It is normally for industrial use or home use. Such as create coffee bean powder, grinding grains, pepper, spices. Most of our industry are in need of pulverizer in our daily working. Such as construction, agriculture, industrial manufacturing, power generation, pharmaceutical products development, landscaping, laboratory, printing, recycling, and material processing.
Classification of Pulverizer:
Because of different application pulverizer have different types. It covers the whole industries. Many pulverizer is multipurpose, one model can grind particles several different materials. It’s cost saving for customer to buy these as multi-tool. Genrally, pulverizer classified to three types: crushers, impactors and grinding mills. Crusher usually refers to coarse grinder or primary crusher, which is for pretreatment before grinding powder. It is designed to reduce large size materials such as rock and stone to particles.
According to Machine Size:
Pulverizer machine have small mill and large grinder. Mini pulverizer normally for home kitchen use or for laboratory. While big heavy duty machine normally for industrial large capacity use. LINKER Pulverizer each model have different series size, which can suitable for laboratory and also large industry use.
According to Application:
- FOOD PROCESSOR: Such as coffee bean, pepper, spices, rice, corn, grain, sugar, salt, and so on.
- MEDICINE, pharmeceutical Pulverizer:
- CHEMICAL INDUSTRY.
Classify according to Grinding Principle: machine mill, jet mill and grinding miller.
Machine mill has 5 types if separate according to KNIFE CUTTING TYPE: tooth grinder, knife grinder, hammer mill, turbo grinder and press grinder. There are 3 types pf Grinding Miller: ball mill, mortar grinder and colloid mill.
Structures:

According to the style of design:
- split type and integrated design:
- Single chamber or double chamber ( also called double roller or double stage).
Common types that we are using mostly in our daily work:
The common types such as feeding mill, universal grinder, powder grinder, slow speed grinder, Dust Grinder, Super Grinder, Vacuum Mill, coarse grinder, Ultrafine Grinder, Powder grinder. You can find some series of these common types in our product list.
How Pulverizer Work – Working Principle
The Working Principle is Crushing and impacting utilize pressure and collision-wrought force. Process of Production: 1. Automatic material feeder, conveyor or by manual operator. Material are transfer to the grinder machine inlet in batches or continuously. 2. Pulverizer main machine do the crushing or cutting of particles into smaller sizes. 3. Output materials directly or by cyclone separator, 4. Do re-grinding if the result particle mesh is not small enough. Operator transfer the particle back to grinding machine or by conveyor to do re-grinding. 5. screen out the gine powder and go to next process, such as packing.
Coarse Crusher Working Principle:
It is a horizontal crushing structure. The material enters into the crushing chamber from the hopper of the crusher. Materials get crush to smaller particles under the impact between rotary knife and fixed knife, shear and obtain crushing by rotating centrifugal force.
Jet Mill Working Principle:
The grinding block is composed of crushing and grinding pairs. When the material enters the machine cavity from the hopper, they are closely friction and strongly impacted in the rotating air flow of the cutter head and the blade. Materials get re-grind in the gap between the blade and the grinding block. While crushing the material, the cutter head draws in a large amount of air, which plays a role in cooling the machine, grinding materials and transfer the material.
Vacuum Mill Working Principle:
The machine uses the relative motion between the movable tooth disc and the fixed tooth disc to make the material crushed when pass through. Materials impacted and friction each other. The centrifugal force will automatically enter the collecting bag, and the dust will be filtered back from the dust collection box through the cloth bag.
Dust Grinder Working Principle:
This machine uses the relative motion between the movable tooth disc and the fixed tooth disc to crush materials. The material is crushed by the impact of teeth, friction and the impact between the materials. The crushed material enters the cyclone separator by the gravity of the rotating centrifuge and the fan discharge, and then through the fan, dust into the pulse dust removal box, through the filter cylinder and recovery.
Ultrafine Grinder Working Principle:
Ultrafine Grinder is a kind of vertical shaft reflection type micro pulverizer. There are two processing steps of micro pulverizer and micro powder sorting at the same time. A body, a frame, a feeding device, a crushing device, a discharge pipe, a transmission device and a motor, etc. It is supported by a host, a dust collector, a high-pressure centrifugal fan, a shut-off device, a cyclone collector and an electric control cabinet, etc. In the case of non-stop, can be arbitrarily adjusted granularity. Product particle size uniformity, fineness up to 10-5um, the machine has self-cooling function.
Turbo Grinder Working Principle:
Structure: shell, door, turbine, spindle, screen, pulley and motor and other parts compose a turbo grinder.
Working principle: When the turbine crusher is turning, the motor drives the spindle and the turbine to rotate at high speed. The turbine and the grinding block on the screen ring constitute a crushing and grinding pair, when the material enters from the hopper. In the engine chamber, closely rubbing and strongly impacting the material on the inner side of the turbine blade in the rotating air flow of the turbine. And then again in the gap between the blade and the grinding block grinding. As the material is crushing, the turbine draws in a large amount of air, which serves to cool the machine, grind the material and transfer the fine material. The fineness of material crushing depends on the nature of the material and the size of the screen, as well as the amount of material and air through.
